The Heart of a Lion is an organization dedicated to discipling young Christians through an educational curriculum. The program was started by two retired NFL players and professional educators, dedicated to teaching youth life changing, Christian truths. Gill Byrd, former San Diego Charger, is the managing member of Heart of a Lion. The curriculum uses the appeal of professional athletes to motivate students to not only learn the material but to apply it to their lives. Schools in Wisconsin and California have successfully used the program that is now available nationally.
